Introducing MidiaHouse Community Base
Community Base is a light weight groupware and online collaborative system that is targeted at groups and communities rather than work environments such as cooperate organizations (MidiaHouse GroupWare which is a full blown online business system is targeted at cooperate organizations). Community Base is targeted at social groups such as club houses, estates, Churches, Charity groups and any other groups that are in need of light weight collaborative tools.
What does community Base have to offer?
Besides serving as the group’s website Community Base also has some powerful online collaborative tools that gives the group total control over their activities and events. These tools are installed as modules into the community base system and can be disabled or added unto on request. The default tools include;
Events Calendar: Community base comes with a flexible events calendar that allows members of your group to easily stay up to date with upcoming events and programs.
Document manager: Community base comes with a powerful online document manager that gives group members access to files that normally will be distributed in meetings or files that they should normally have; such as constitution, minutes of meetings etc.
Messaging system: Community base has an inbuilt messaging system so that members could leave each other messages without necessarily compromising their precious email addresses.
Chat System: Community base has an inbuilt chat system that is flexible and fun to use.
Newsletter server: A powerful and flexible newsletter server is built into system to easily send notifications, announcements, news, reports etc, to members in a very convenient and professional way.
Community Board: In the heart of community base is the community board that allows for community members to interact among themselves. The community board is a powerful and flexible online forum system that allows for member collaboration on set topics. These topics are arranged into threads, forums and categories and are fully controlled by assigned community members. Dozens of other modules are available on request; these modules give Community Base an unlimited amount of possibilities.
